Defining an Ageing-Related Pathology: International Consensus Statement

In 2019, the International Classification of Diseases, 11th revision (ICD-11) called for a systematic and comprehensive classification and staging of ageing-related pathologies at the metabolic, tissue, organ and systemic levels. It was recommended that such a classification system should be adopted by the ICD, to guide policy and practice and to enable appropriate clinical guidance, systems, resources, and infrastructure.
